The 2005 Sowers Symposium was held on Tuesday 17 May, 2005 at the Georgia Center for Advanced Telecomunications Technology (GCATT). Invited lectures were given by Professor Chuck Dowding of Northwestern University and Michael Lewis, Geotechnical Leader of Bechtel Corporation. The 8th Sowers Lecture was delivered by Professor Fred Kulhawy of Cornell University.
